FAQs

What is Covec denim?
Covec is a material that offers an incredibly high melting point, not starting to break down until around 180 degrees. This means that while the temperature will still increase through friction during a slide, the material will not start to break down.
What are the differences between motorcycle jeans and a normal pair of jeans?
The motorcycle jeans are made for durability and protection against impacts and abrasions. Motorcycle jeans are usually reinforced with Kevlar fabrics and have optional armor inserts for hips and knees. Some of them also include adjustable knee armor inserts to give extra comfort to the rider.
What does the 'A', 'AA', 'AAA' rating mean?
The rating is based on the EN 17092 certification rating, the standard for motorcycle protective clothing used to test against abrasion resistance, seam strength, tear resistance, and impact absorption. AAA is the highest rating of protection for adventurous and high-speed rides where A is best for commute and casual rides and AA provides all-round protection while still being lightweight and comfortable.
How should I wash Bull-it motorcycle jeans?
We recommend removing all armour before washing and wash at a gentle temperature of 30°C or 78°F on a normal cycle and your usual detergent. For more detailed information on how to care for your Bull-it jeans, visit the Washing & Care page.
How tight should my motorcycle jeans be?
Tight enough that it is close to your body so the armour conforms to your body. But, not too tight that it becomes uncomfortable for long-distance rides. Bull-it motorcycle jeans are true to size, so we recommend you pick the size as you would a regular jean.
